Our Story
Rosa Beltran is the founder and creative force behind Clad Home. As an interior designer Rosa began creating custom furniture for her design clients more than 20 years ago. In 2015, seeing a complete lack of quality custom furniture available to anyone not working with an expensive interior designer, she launched Clad Home, a designer-conceived furniture collection that finally offers everyone the same level of customization, design flexibility, and heirloom quality furniture previously reserved only for the clients of high-end interior designers.
This has always been the Clad Home model: the MOST custom options, the HIGHEST quality, and the LOWEST prices. Anywhere.
As Clad Home grew and she navigated the (sometimes dodgy) furniture industry, Rosa never gave in to pressures to cut corners just to cut costs. Armed with a college degree in International Relations that focused on the dark underbelly of globalization, Rosa knew all too well that the lure of cheap offshore production often comes at the peril of people and the planet.
To guarantee a truly ethical and high quality product, Clad Home furniture is designed and made with love right here in Los Angeles, with the utmost attention to worker and environmental conditions, living wages, a small carbon footprint, and on-the-ground quality control: these are the maxims we live by.
We believe that all humans have a collective responsibility to come together to make a positive impact on the world. As such, Clad Home gladly donates a portion of our annual profits to the global social justice movement, to anti-racist initiatives that lift up the most vulnerable among us, and to the protection of our precious planet. We are vocal and active in our anti-racist allyship, and inclusive in all our business practices. We've also partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every Clad Home sale.
