Our Performance Velvets have a soft and luxurious look and feel that is matched only by their infamous durability. Our curated collection of the most stain resistant velvets will stand up well to real life wear-and-tear. Regent velvets have a special certification for environmental stewardship. Please be aware that ALL velvet fabrics can be damaged by heat (heating pads, electric blankets, etc), and that the long fibers that give it the deep and lustrous color we covet are prone to crushing when these fibers are displaced (such as compression from the cardboard packaging used during delivery.) This is normal, will rebound over time, and is not considered a defect but rather a desirable characteristic of velvet.
